Adequate, But Not Actually Antibacterial, Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash Does Fine!

The Good: Decent lather, Easy to open bottle, Inexpensive, Good aroma, Adequately moisturizes
The Bad: Not actually antibacterial, No scrubbing grit
The Basics: Dial Clean & Simple Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is all right, even if it is not actually antibacterial.

It is not often that I find myself forgiving false advertising. And yet, in the case of Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash I find that the body wash is worthwhile . . . even if it is not antibacterial. To be fair, Dial does not claim the body wash is antibacterial anywhere on the packaging, but their catch phrase on the bottle - "washes away bacteria" - is misleading. Sure, the body wash washes away bacteria . . . the same way running water does. If it were not for how inexpensive and well-scented this body was was, that would probably stick in my craw more!

The Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine body wash is a generally average body wash, though it has a distinct scent, it is not abrasive enough to cleanse or exfoliate. It is ideal for those who want to clean their bodies and leave their skin moisturized and with a faint floral scent to it.

Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine body wash is aromatic and given how popular lavender is, it is unsurprising Dial does the scent well. Cutting it with jasmine takes some of the kick out of the lavender, but Dial makes it work with this body wash!. In the steamy environment of a shower or bath, the scent effervesces well. The 16 fl. oz. bottle usually sells for $3.49 and seems to be commonly available, at least in Michigan. The Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is an effective, easy-to-use product that leaves skin feeling clean and mildly aromatic. When one is especially dirty, the best this does is get one clean; it does not deodorize without one truly scrubbing one’s skin excessively and the truth is, the Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine body wash is far less effective than a good, abrasive loofah. As one who likes gardening in the summer, the fact that the Lavender & Twilight Jasmine body wash does not deodorize or exfoliate is problematic.

Body washes generally seem disproportionately expensive to me, though the Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash was one of the less expensive body washes by price. Dial's Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash initial price is reasonable, though it does offer less than other body washes that actually exfoliate or have distinctive scents in the same price range. The Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash does manage to lather up incredibly well, so for daily maintenance, it may satisfy a thrifty shopper.

The Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is a translucent purple fluid about the consistency of most shampoos. This is a smooth body wash, so it does nothing to exfoliate the skin. Using the Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is simple. The bottle features a flip top that opens with the flick of the thumb. The bottle is easy enough to open and close one handed as to make it convenient in the tub or shower, especially if one is using a loofah or washcloth in the other hand. The bottle of Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is fairly flat on the front and back and rounded on the sides. It is slippery when wet, so it is important to get a good grip on this body wash bottle!

Dispensing the Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is very easy. Simply squeeze the bottle and apply the very fluid body wash to your hand, loofah or cloth. In my experience, the body wash is more fluidic than creamy and, as a result, comes out of the bottle very esily when one squeezes it. As a result, about a half dollar-sized dollop is all that is necessary to clean my whole body when it mixes with the water from my shower or bath. I've found it most effective to dole out the body wash in one fell swoop as it lathers very easily and completely fills a loufah when one does.

Part of the reason the product washes off so well is that it lathers exceptionally well. Used sparingly, the Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash may be spread over an entire body the way it lathers up. Simply agitating it on the skin yields a foamy, clean lather that both moisturizes and cleans skin. Without a loofah or other rough applicator, it does not remove dirt or grime beyond what one expects from water running. As the water flows over it, it washes off easily leaving behind no film or residue, only generally clean skin.

The Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash won me over with its distinct, but not overbearing scent. The aroma has enough of the scent of lavender and jasmine to be truly a good balance of the sharp and sweet scents. Dial's Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is made primarily of water, but given how potent the aroma is, that is a bit of a surprise.

Dial Lavender & Twilight Jasmine Body Wash is a good body wash, even if it is not truly antibacterial.
